UAE is rated as one safest holiday destination however it is recommended to tour with the travel insurance for peaceful trip.
Tipping
Tipping is not compulsary still it is common. At hotels most of hthe tourists tip 10 percent of the bill if service charge is not included.
Electricity
Domestic power supply is 220 volts. Sockets will be suitable for three-pin 13 amp plugs of British standard design are the norm.
Dress Code
Just keep in mind that you are visiting a Muslim country so bikinis, swimsuits, shorts and revealing tops should be confined to beach resorts. It is better to wear casuals when you roam around.
Business Hours
Normal shops will be open from 9:00AM – 1:00PM and 4:00PM – 9:00PM. Particularly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai shops will be open 9:00AM - 9:00PM. On Friday shops will be closed from 11:30AM to 1:30PM for prayer.
